Bonus automatically cancels whenever the balance amount goes below certain amount. It happens in order to make sure that bonus will not continue when a player makes another deposit. It's arranged like that to avoid problems.
As for the bonus hunting, it's against rules to collect winnings after bonus cancellation. That's a bonus abuse, therefore such earnings are forfeited.
